ok, I promise this is the last of the pumpkin content. I had very few pumpkin recipes on the blog until a month ago and I seem to have made it my mission to pumpkin everything: Caramel. Cookies. Bread. And now, cookie bars and a cake.
Yep, I everyday-ed pumpkin cake. Or did I pumpkin the everyday cake? Either way... =)
Everyday Pumpkin Cake
It’s everything you loved about ebc but make it pumpkin and pumpkin spiced. So moist, fluffy, and topped with that special crispy sugar topping also flavored with pumpkin spice.

Oat Flour Pumpkin Muffins
These are super soft thanks to all that pumpkin, you make ‘em the night before and they’re gluten-free!
some halloweeny bakes…
Black Cocoa Sandwich Cookies (Homemade Oreos)
Ever felt like oreos are good but you could make ‘em better? And wouldn’t it be cool to decide what filling you want in there and get super creative? This is your recipe: thin, crispy black cocoa cut-out cookies.
Black Cocoa Cupcakes
Le black cocoa cake but made mini and this time with a cream cheese variation on the black cocoa buttercream. The softest cupcakes ever that taste like the cookie part of the oreo!

Pound Cake Brownies
“This is my new go-to easy treat for casual dinner parties…or when the craving hits! It’s the best of both worlds with the chocolate and buttery cake. Always a smash hit and nothing but crumbs left in the pan.” - Christina
notes
No but seriously, if you are a pumpkin hater you’re probably like, jeeez when is this lady going to get back to chocolate? The answer is… well tbh the answer is we’re doing apples next :p (but I promise, there’s a special chocolate something coming your way!).
I made three apple pies this week which is big for me. I usually do 1-2 a year because in my mind, apple pie is one of the most laborious pastry tasks and if it doesn’t turn out perfect the first time, I get upset. If it does, I think it’s too perfect and I wouldn’t be able to replicate it so soon after. This week, idk, maybe it was the heaviness of the crisis playing on my mind, but I found myself calmly devoted to the task of skinning, coring and slicing twenty something apples and battling it out with several batches of pie crust. And I have some yummy recipes as a result =)
Megan, of ShortGirlTallOrder, has done a series of ‘pie cookies’ and they all look so fun to make. For the season, she’s got a pumpkin pie cookie and an apple pie cookie. And they’re vegan!
Speaking of you needing a new chocolate recipe fix and me not delivering: the reddit baking community has been raving over this gooey brownie recipe . I loved that the author included the list of sources she based her recipe off of and explained how she created the recipe. I plan to try it sometime.

Frosted Pumpkin Cookie Bars (with brown butter cream cheese buttercream)
Dense, ultra chewy pumpkin and pumpkin spice cookie bars slathered in a buttercream that’s equal parts brown butter and cream cheese. No bar gets more fall themed than this =)
